I never thought I'd fall for this myself...

I returned to my computer and found a note claiming that my files had been encrypted and demanding a large payment in Dogecoin for recovery. I immediately turned the PC off by unplugging the cable.

There's no way I'm paying them! However, I don't have any backups to restore from — shame on me.

Is there a way to recover the data? There's some pretty valuable information on the disk.
