Welcome to Hogwarts! Dumbledore needs your help to secure the new Ubuntu servers, since there has been chatter that the server is comprimised.

Note: The only supported virtual machine softare is VMWare Workstation. VirtualBox, LibVirt, Parallels, etc, will not work. This VM also requires a 64-bit AMD or Intel-based processor. Most importantly, this means ARM-based or Apple Silicon-based computers will be unable to run the virtual machine software.

Note: Any attempts to reverse the scoring engine or any of its aspects can result in disqualification.

Instructions Navigate to the "My VM" using the navigation this website. Click the button. That will give your login information. Click "Submit" on this challenge. You don't need to input a flag. Download the VM from the attachment below. Warning, it is quite large. Unzip the files, and open Hogwarts.vmdk in VMWare. Adjust RAM and/or processor settings to your liking. In general, the more you allocate, the smoother the experience will be. Do not allocate more than your host computer's resources and keep some as a buffer for your host OS. Once the VM boots up, open Firefox. It will link to the page https://localhost:8088. Enter your login credentials from "My VM" here. Wait for it to load. You will see your report dashboard. All further instructions can be viewed on the right of the page. Read the instructions carefully. The password to your user account: d0n7h@ckm3PLZ! Warning: This is a very experimental challenge type. Report all issues by creating a ticket on Discord. The points for this challenge will automatically be added to your account every 60 seconds.
