"Ben always said the truth hides in the noise. Start from zero and listen." — Ben's editor, deposition, November 2003

Benjamin Marsh, freelance investigative journalist, went dark on October 14th, 2003.

He had been investigating Hargrove Psychiatric Institute — a facility that had quietly stopped accepting public records requests in 1997. Rumours of unlawful detainment. Experimental treatments. Patients admitted under false diagnoses. Nobody on the outside could confirm anything.

Ben went in undercover. Posing as a voluntary patient.

Three days later, his editor received a single audio file. No message. No subject line. Sent from a hospital computer at 3:17 AM.

Ben has not been heard from since.

Is that all he managed to send? Or is there something buried in deep?
