I was in Times Square during the NYC New Year’s Eve ball drop and recorded the moment the countdown hit zero.

While reviewing the footage later, I noticed something unusual; a clean, isolated 1-second tone that shouldn’t exist in a live outdoor recording.

It’s not part of the official broadcast. It’s not from the crowd. And it’s far too deliberate to be accidental.
